My son is learning about consequences. For some reason they never kicked in like they are this week. He doesn't like consequences. He is not happy when he has to face them.
His giant dinosaur puzzle has now been put away for a day. He is mad about it too. Well, I told you to put it away and I gave you 30 minutes to do it too...
I think I'm getting everyones cold. NO GOOD! I'm the never get sick girl. This can't be!
Napped today... it was nice. Jake is saying that he's afraid of the dark. Don't know how to solve it....
Any suggestions?
Well, the kids LOVE their beds. I mean like they don't even want me to lay with them at all not even a little which I totally don't mind. I have been able to sleep with my husband in our bed for HOURS!!! There are still the occasional middle of the night wake up for a foofy search and they do wake up early (530am to be exact) but I'm sleeping! WITH MY HUSBAND!
So the twin beds are on the floor for now because we don't want to endanger them too much, I mean we all know that a bed is good for jumping on and if you give them almost no height to fall from chances are the injuries won't be so bad...
So here they are! You can tell by the smiles that they are in total love with their beds. I can't believe the whole sheet thing worked!
Show us the one thing that unfailingly makes you smile, no matter what.
Submitted by Sourire. It is completely impossible to NOT smile when I see these three. I guess it says show us "one thing". I'm gonna go with my family. Because we are all one...
So Kate knows that since she is potty training, I will drop anything when she says she needs to go "pee pee" or "poopy". She has also just learned that if she is put on time out that all she has to say to get out of her time out is to say these immediate action words. GREAT!
Jake is apparently fine with being bit and pushed as long as he can flush the toilet.
Yes, it's true. I have a site meter on my LJ user info page and I am always paranoid about who's checking me out. I think it makes me more paranoid than when I didn't have one and I didn't know who was looking. I put it up there for only one person. It was a dumb reason but I did it and now it's there and well, whatever... nevermind!
So this weekend was a decent weekend except that I woke up today thinking it was Sunday. I wish it was Sunday. Not because I get to sleep in or anything but because I would get to hang with my husb. Yesterday he worked in the garage building some storage space for us and I rearranged the family room downstairs. All the while, the chillens were chillin' with their G-ma upstairs. The family room looks so much better. I put all the stuff I needed to get rid of in boxes and will soon be calling for a pick-up. I also set aside some toys that I will be giving to my friend Estelle for the day care that she runs. YAY! I am finally able to use my mantle about the fireplace. It is not reachable anymore! HOORAY! Go ME!
Is it me or does the Diego on Dora the Explorer sound different than the Diego on Go, Diego Go!??
Today the MIL will be coming over and I am going to schlep over to Hayward I think. I need to take the stuff to Stel. I might be there tomorrow and Wednesday too! WOW!
Katy is doing fantastic with the potty training! She's asking to go when she needs to go and wearing her big girl panties. They are actually training pants but still, they are all cottony and comfy. She got one pair wet and immediately she looked down and said, "uh-oh! YUCKY!" She hasn't done it since! YAY!
Jake is another story. He will only go if I sit him on the potty. He won't ask to go. BUT he likes wearing his pull-ups instead of a diaper. He asks me for a pull-up when I change him.
Well, I think that's pretty much all for now...
